In terms of regulation 3 of the Environmental Regulations for Workplaces, 1987, a schedule with illuminance values is made available to employers in this regard. In addition to this SANS 10114-1: Artificial Lighting of Interiors should also be applied.
We can conduct a comprehensive illumination survey during day or night-time and provide you with a detailed report to point out areas of weakness. If you are in need to determine the illuminace levels for your emergency lighting, we are also able to assist.
